The free lecture is at 3:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 3, in Room 202, Stewart Center. The series will continue with one speaker in the spring.
Woo, now dean of the University of Notre Dame's College of Business Administration, is the only woman business dean at a private university. Her presentation, entitled "A Fish Out of Water, A Step Out of Sync...," discusses how women can fashion their lives, create a sense of belonging and find their place in the world.
The Purdue Women's Club was established in 1921, originally for the wives of faculty
and staff. It has since evolved to include men and community members. Susan Woodall,
distinguished lecture series chairwoman, said the club has become a way for people
to meet others who have common interests. The club sponsors 26 interest groups that meet
throughout the year.
