people or programs off campus during the next five weeks. Events are free and open
to the public, except where noted, and all are open to news media coverage. New or
updated listings have two asterisks (**).

- Tuesday-Wednesday, Sept. 2-3. Sailing Club Boat Display. 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Memorial Mall.
- Friday, Sept. 5. Boilermaker Tractor Pull display. 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Memorial Mall.
Tractors and trucks pulling at the Sept. 6 tractor pull will be on display.
- Friday, Sept. 5. Leslie Day '97. 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Memorial Mall. Voter registration
and a GOP information booth sponsored by College Republicans. The Leslie Day dinner
with local Republicans will be 6-9 p.m. in the East Faculty Lounge, Purdue Memorial

- Saturday, Sept. 6. Boilermaker Tractor Pull. 6-11 p.m. Tractor Pull Track. Sponsored
by the Boilermaker Tractor Pull Foundation. Tickets are $8 for adults and $5 for
students.
- Sunday, Sept. 7. Black Cultural Center open house, 315 University St. 2-4:30 p.m.
Black-and-white photos and text from the Million Man March by BCC assistant director
and multidisciplinary artist Frank X. Walker will be on display. The community is
invited.
** Tuesday, Sept. 9. Golden Taps. 10 p.m. Spitzer Court, Cary Quadrangle. Ceremony
to honor Purdue students who died during the summer.
** Thursday, Sept. 11. Women's Studies Program open house. 4:30-6 p.m. Anniversary
Drawing Room, Purdue Memorial Union.
- Friday, Sept. 12. Purdue Musical Organizations' Sing 'n Swing Golf Outing. 10 a.m.
registration. Ackerman Golf Course (formerly Purdue South). Tournament starts at
11 a.m. Box lunches, a reception, dinner and entertainment all are included in the

Union Ballrooms. Experience the thrill of horse racing, casinos, and game shows all

- Saturday, Sept. 20. Pregame (Ball State) concert with the "All-American" Marching
Band. Slayter Center. Purdue's "All-American" Marching Band performs its traditional
tailgate concert, 1-1/2 hours before the football game. Today's "Band Day" celebration
during halftime at Ross-Ade Stadium will feature more than 20 visiting high school
marching bands.
- Saturday, Sept. 20. Tony Bennett concert. 8:30 p.m. Elliott Hall of Music. Presented
