Purdue Ag Outlook Meetings scheduled

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. -- The Purdue University Department of Agricultural Economics has scheduled its annual Agricultural Outlook Meetings for 1997.

"Each year the Department of Agricultural Economics at Purdue University examines the economic outlook for the year ahead," said Marshall Martin, Cooperative Extension Service coordinator for agricultural economics. "Through a series of county meetings, press releases and farm magazine articles, the faculty share their analysis of expected market conditions for the major Indiana commodities. They also examine economic conditions in international markets, expected policy developments, and trends in the general economy.

"This information should help farmers, landowners and agribusiness managers make more informed decisions as they market the 1997 crop and livestock production and make plans for 1998."
