- Saturday, May 17. Purdue Varsity Glee Club End-of-Season Concert. 8 p.m. Loeb Playhouse.

** Thursday, May 15. Purdue Teacher Recruitment Day. 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Purdue Memorial
Union Ballrooms. Recruiters from 74 school corporations and districts in 10 states

CONFERENCES, WORKSHOPS
- Monday-Friday, May 5-9. 12th Annual Engineering/Management Program. An intensive
week-long conference for experienced engineers, scientists, technical specialists
and engineering managers who have a desire to update or enhance their technical and
managerial skills. The cost of the conference is $2,095 ($1,995 without lodging). For registration

- Thursday, May 8. Organizations, Employees & Families: Partners in Productivity. A
conference for employers on family-friendly work practices. 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m. Room
302, Stewart Center. Participating employers will be invited to join in a new membership
organization to provide corporations with networking opportunities and resources on
family-friendly practices. Sponsored by the Center for Families in the School of
Consumer and Family Sciences, the offices of Vice President for Human Relations and

Friday, May 9. Nutrition and Cancer: Medical Nutrition Therapy and Cancer Prevention.
8 a.m.-4 p.m. Room 218, Stewart Center. A conference designed to provide professionals
who work with oncology patients results of current research in cancer prevention
and treatment. Sponsored by Purdue Department of Foods and Nutrition. Cost of the

A conference on community policing sponsored by the Kettering Foundation, the National
Issues Forums and Purdue's Department of Organizational Leadership. Keynote address
delivered by Dave Heath, mayor of Lafayette and former two-term Tippecanoe County
sheriff. Community leaders, concerned citizens and law enforcement professionals
are encouraged to attend. Registration is $100 and includes all training materials, breaks,

- Friday, May 16. Implementing Mathematics, Science and Technology Standards Into K-12

Purdue's School Mathematics and Science Center and the Indiana Department of Education
