Purdue Alumni Honors

-- Six alumni from Purdue's School of Civil Engineering have received Civil Engineering
Alumni Achievement Awards in recognition of their distinguished careers and achievements.
The recipients:
- Edgar B. Olson, chairman of the board for Kettelhut Construction, Lafayette
. Olson joined the company in 1949 while attending Purdue. During his 47 years with
Kettelhut, Olson worked as an engineer, superintendent, in-office estimator and project
manager. He became vice president and secretary in 1974, president-owner in 1975,
and chairman of the board in 1996.
- Graham S. Toft, Indianapolis,
president and chief operating officer of the Indiana Economic Development Council.
The IEDC is a nonprofit, public-private partnership responsible for shaping Indiana's
competitiveness in the new economy of the 21st century. It focuses on education and
training, infrastructure financing, international trade, sustainable development, and
regulation and tax policy.
- Bryan A. Erler, senior vice president/partner, Sargent and Lundy, Chicago

- Steven R. Kraemer, Winchester, Mass.,
senior vice president, Haley and Aldrich Inc., Cambridge, Mass.
- James S. Pierce, member of the Technical Service Center Leadership Team, U.S. Bureau
of Reclamation, Denver

- Donald R. Schwegel, Algonquin, Ill,
president and chief executive officer of Baxter and Woodman, Crystal Lake, Ill.
