EVENTS
** Saturday and Sunday, April 5 and 6. Holocaust Remembrance Conference. Sessions will be from 1:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Saturday and 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday. Sessions will be in the Class of 1950 Lecture Hall on campus and at various locations around Greater Lafayette. The theme is Collective Guilt and Individual Responsibility: Image and Reality. Sponsored by the Greater Lafayette Holocaust Remembrance Committee in cooperation with Hillel Foundation; Diocese of Lafayette-St. Thomas Aquinas Center; University Ministers Association; Tippecanoe County Ministerial Association; and the Purdue Schools of Education and Liberal Arts, Jewish Studies Program and Diversity Resource Office. ** Wednesday, April 9. The 66th annual Literary Awards Banquet. 7 p.m. East and West Faculty Lounge, Purdue Memorial Union. Native American writer Russell Banks will be the featured speaker. Tickets: $10.50 for students, $15. 50 for others; on sale at the English department office in Heavilon Hall.
** Thursday, April 10. Russell Banks, Native American author, reads from his works. 7:30 p.m. East Faculty Lounge, Memorial Union. Sponsored by Purdue English Department.
** April 10-20 "Taming of the Shrew," a Shakespearean comedy sponsored by Purdue Theatre. 8 p.m. April 10-19; 6 p.m. April 20. Experimental Theatre, Stewart Center. Tickets available at Loeb Box Office, (765) 494-3933, for $10.50 for public and $6.50 for Purdue students and senior citizens.

** Thursday, March 20. Brown Bag Lecture: The Evolution in American Ceramics and My Recent Work. Noon. Beelke Gallery, Creative Arts Building 2. Paul Donhauser, visiting artist.
** Monday, March 24. Annual Military Convocation, 6 p.m. Fowler Hall, Stewart Center. Gen. Howell M. Estes III, commander in chief of the North American Aerospace Defense Command and the United States Space Command, will talk about military and non-military uses of space travel in the 21st century.
** Wednesday, April 2. How Did the Bahais Come to the Holy Land and What Are They Doing on That Mountain: Historical & Religious Perspectives on the Bahai World Center in Haifa. 12:30 p.m. Anniversary Drawing Room, Purdue Memorial Union.
