Film festival to honor Women's History Month
WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. -- Five films honoring women will be part of Purdue University's
celebration of Women's History Month.
The film festival will be presented throughout March in Room 239, Stanley Coulter
Hall. Films begin at 7 p.m., except on March 28, when the starting time is 5 p.m.
The films are free and open to the public.
The festival is sponsored by the Women's Studies program, Women's Resource Office,
School of Liberal Arts Dean's Office, Department of Foreign Languages and Literatures,
and the Council on the Status of Women.
The dates and titles of the films are:
- Monday, March 17 -- "Frida Kahlo: Portrait of a Woman"
- Friday, March 21 -- Two films: "Tuesday Morning Ride" and "Mother of the River"
- Monday, March 24 -- "Daughters of the Dust"
- Friday, March 28 -- Two films: "Hidden Faces" and "Prose, Power, and Politics: Conversations
with Muslim Women Leaders"
- Monday, March 31 -- "Forbidden Love"
