National vet gathering gives hands-on experience
From bandaging small animals and determining the sex of a reptile, to examining a
horse using a treadmill and testing the quality of cow's milk, veterinary students
from across the country will gain hands-on experience at the 27th annual Student
American Veterinary Medical Association Symposium from Thursday through Saturday, March 13-15,
at Purdue. More than 1,000 veterinary students will attend lectures and hands-on
workshops dealing with a variety of topics in veterinary medicine, including small
animal care, equine and food animal medicine, and professional issues and opportunities.
Sponsored by the School of Veterinary Medicine. Call for times and locations of workshops

Purdue's Breaking New Ground Outreach Program will hold a series of church accessibility
workshops around Indiana in March. The workshops are designed to help congregations
