EDITORS: This calendar lists events on Purdue's West Lafayette campus or involving people or programs off campus during the next four weeks. Events are free and open to the public, except where noted, and all are open to news media coverage. New or updated listings have two asterisks (**).

EVENTS

• Feb. 21-23. Indiana High School Mock Trial state championship. Teams of high-school students will participate in mock court cases for the chance to represent Indiana at the national competition. All cases will be argued at the Tippecanoe County Courthouse in Lafayette. Times are 6 p.m. Friday (2/21); 8 a.m. and 11 a.m. Saturday (2/22); and 10:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. Sunday (2/23). Free. Sponsored by the Indiana State Bar Association with the support of Purdue.

• Through Feb. 23. "True West," a play sponsored by Purdue Theatre. 8 p.m. Feb. 13-22; 6 p.m. Feb. 23. There will be no performance on Monday, Feb. 17. Experimental Theatre, Stewart Center. • Sunday, Feb.23. Cinema Now film series -- Shanghai Triad. 7:30 p.m. Fowler Hall, Stewart Center. This Zhang Yimou film recreates the 1930s Shanghai underworld as seen through the eyes of a servant boy employed by a gangster's haughty and beautiful mistress. Sponsored by Purdue Convocations.
