** Feb. 4-5. Retail Management Career Conference. Registration begins at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 4. Includes a career fair with 31 retail employers from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., South Ballroom, Purdue Memorial Union. Luncheon at 1 p.m. in the North Ballroom of the union, with keynote speech by Vanessa Castagna, senior vice president, general merchandise manager for Wal-Mart Stores. Afternoon activities include panel discussions on interviewing, resumes and job search skills. Reception at 5 p.m. in the North Ballroom. Persons who sign up at the career fair will be interviewed for permanent jobs and internships from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 5. ** Wednesday, Feb. 12. What Every Broodmare Owner Should Know. 6:30-9:30 p.m. Room 1136, Lynn Hall. School of Veterinary Medicine faculty will discuss topics that include artificial insemination, problem mares and care of the foal. Speakers are Bill Hope, large animal community practice; Cheryl Lopate, equine reproduction; and Janice Sojka, equine medicine and neonatal care. Second of a two-part Equine Medicine Series. Registration, which costs $25, begins at 6 p.m.
