WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. -- Purdue Theatre will perform Jean Shepard's "True West" and Sophocles' "Antigone" as part of its second season in February.
"True West," a play about two brothers torn between what each one is and wants to be, will be performed at 8 p.m. Feb. 13-22 and 6 p.m. Feb. 23 in the Experimental Theatre in Stewart Center. There will be no performance on Monday, Feb. 17. Directed by Jonny Jenks, a third-year master of fine arts directing student, "True West" will be his final project before earning his graduate degree. Tickets are $10.50 and $6.50 at the Loeb Box Office or by calling (765) 494-3933.
Sophocles' "Antigone" will take the stage in the Black Box Theatre, Creative Arts Building 3, at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Feb. 21 and 22, and at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 23. Directed by MFA directing student Sarah Bay, "Antigone" explores the political extremes and the destruction of society. Admission for all performances is free, but tickets are necessary. They are available on a first-come, first-served basis at the main office of the Theatre Division in Room G-77A, Stewart Center.

Each half-hour program, which includes a campus news update, feature segments and a studio interview, is seen at 11:30 a.m. Sundays.
