Extension director awards outstanding Purdue reporting system team

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – Creators of the System of Accountability and Management, or SAM, received the Director's Award during the Purdue University Extension professional development banquet Oct. 21.

Four members of the SAM team were awarded for taking the lead and organizing the strategic reporting system. The SAM team consists of Cindy Kerper, Extension planning reporting coordinator of West Lafayette, Ind; Peggy Titus, assistant to the director of Extension of Manilla, Ind; Leanne McGiveron, developing team leader of West Lafayette, Ind.; and Eric Adams, Web designer and developer of Frankfort, Ind.

"The Strategic Reporting System is the Purdue reporting system, which handles all records, data accountability, and impact-success stories for the School of Agriculture and Purdue Cooperative Extension Service," said Dave Petritz, director of the Purdue Extension service. "This program was initially implemented two years ago."

The Director's Award is based on criteria such as contribution to Extension, worthiness of honor, significant programming, or loyalty and service to Extension. This year Petritz selected the SAM team for undertaking the strategic reporting system project and creating a successful data entry system.

The Director's Award has been given since 1984 to teams, individuals and projects.
