October 6, 2003 Police arrest 9, eject 22 spectators at Illinois football gameWEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – Police at Purdue's homecoming football game against Illinois on Saturday (10/4) arrested nine people and ejected 22 others from Ross-Ade Stadium. Eight people were arrested on suspicion of public intoxication. They are Bradley G. Goodrich, 24, West Lafayette; Brad F.W. Gappa, 27, West Lafayette; Jef E. Tromp, 18, Manhattan, Ill.; Gregory J. Maser, 29, Fort Wayne, Ind.; Mary C. Reagan, 22, Westchester, Ohio; James D. Alexander, 24, Boca Raton, Fla.; Bryan F. Condon, 21, a Purdue junior in the School of Civil Engineering from St. Louis; and Adam M., Krupa, 21, a Purdue senior in the School of Civil Engineering from Arlington Heights, Ill. David P. Johnson, 22, a Purdue senior in the School of Management, was arrested on suspicion of trespassing. The 22 additional people police removed from the stadium were ejected for disruptive behavior or violating stadium regulations, such as not having tickets, smoking in stadium seats or bringing alcohol into the facility, said Steven R. Dietrich, interim chief of the Purdue Police Department. Seven of those removed were Purdue students. Law enforcement agencies involved in providing game-day security include the Purdue University Police Department, Lafayette and West Lafayette police departments, Tippecanoe County Sheriff's Department and Indiana State Police.
