Pharmacy school invites public to speakers' series

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – Nine corporate and academic pharmacy experts will present their ideas to Purdue University's School of Pharmacy students during fall semester. Among the speakers are representatives from the Bristol-Meyers Squibb and Upjohn (now Pfizer) companies.

Pharmacy leaders come to Purdue annually in order to bring perspective to students, many of whom go on themselves to become leaders in business and academia. The presentations are part of the Dean's Pharmacy Executive Forum and will be of interest to anyone concerned about the future of the pharmaceuticals industry.

"We bring a range of pharmacy industry leaders in to talk to our students," said John Pezzuto, dean of the School of Pharmacy, Nursing and Health Sciences. "They also meet with small groups of students, as well as faculty members. The forum provides an excellent meeting ground for academe and business."

Each forum meeting begins at 10:30 a.m. in Heine Pharmacy Building, Room 164, and is free and open to the public as seating permits.
