Free food samples available at Purdue's Taste of the Union

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – Free sushi samples from the Union Market's new food concept promise to be a top attraction at Purdue University's annual Taste of the Union.

The event, at which free food samples will be available, will take place from 2-4 p.m. Friday, Aug. 29, on the front lawn of the Purdue Memorial Union. Samples, including pizza, sandwiches and smoothies, will be offered from all the union dining facilities. Radio station B102.9-FM also will conduct a live remote broadcast. Visitors will be asked to show a Purdue identification card.

Prior to the Taste, Purdue students, faculty and staff can visit the Activities Bonanza, which will take place between the union and Stewart Center from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Representatives from several student organizations will be available to discuss ways to get involved with their groups. Free items also will be distributed at the Bonanza, which is sponsored by the Purdue Student Union Board.
