May 23, 2003 Outstanding seniors recognized in School of Consumer and Family SciencesWEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. Five students in Purdue University's School of Consumer and Family Sciences have received Outstanding Senior Awards from the CFS Alumni Association. The students were Ryan Parsons, a senior majoring in youth, adult and family services from Valparaiso, Ind.; Joseph R. Mikol, a senior majoring in hospitality and tourism management from Fort Wayne, Ind., Kristina Ludwig, a senior majoring in dietetics and fitness nutrition and health from Liberty Township, Ohio; Dennis Swender, a senior majoring in occupational family and consumer sciences education from Griffith, Ind.; and Carl Hibben, a senior majoring in financial planning from Fort Wayne, Ind. Each student received $100, a pen desk set and had their names inscribed on a plaque in Stone Hall. They were selected by departmental faculty committees based upon academic credentials, leadership and potential for future contributions in their chosen field.
