President Jischke to discuss campaign on next radio show

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – Purdue University President Martin C. Jischke will provide an update on The Campaign for Purdue during his live call-in radio show from 2-3 p.m. on Tuesday, May 6.

Listeners will have the opportunity to ask questions during the show. Local listeners can call (765) 496-1999. Listeners outside the local calling area can call toll-free at (866) 922-2101.

Dan Skinner, WBAA manager, says listeners can talk directly with the president about Purdue's fund-raising efforts.

"Purdue has attracted some large donations that directly benefit students, including $1.2 million for the newly renovated Humanities, Social Science & Education Library," Skinner says. "The phone campaign to alumni also is going well. With state funds harder to come by, private donations become increasingly critical."

The station's AM signal reaches approximately two-thirds of Indiana and can be heard globally via the station's Web site. The site also provides toll-free dialing instructions for listeners outside the United States and Canada.

CONTACT: Skinner, (765) 494-3960, deskinner@purdue.edu.

NOTE TO JOURNALISTS: Photographers and videographers are permitted in the studio for the broadcast. Contact WBAA at (765) 494-5920 to make arrangements. Reporters interested in asking questions before or after the show should contact Jim Vruggink, director of special projects, at (765) 494-2086.
