Summer fun available at Boiler Kids Camp

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – Registrations are being accepted for Boiler Kids Camp, which takes place at Purdue University during six one-week sessions from June 9 to July 25.

The camp, offered for children ages 5-12, features adventure games, arts and crafts, archery, recreational games, playground games, and water activities at the Boilermaker Aquatic Center. Activities run from 8:30 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. each day.

The cost for the camp is $100 per week, and lunch will be provided at Meredith Residence Hall for an additional $20 per week. An after-care program with non-structured activities also is available for an extra $15 per week. All campers will receive a Purdue Boiler Kids camp backpack.

Camp director Vince Daino says children have been enjoying the camp for eight years.

"It is our goal to provide each camper with an exciting and memorable experience," Daino says. "Fun is the name of the game."

Campers will be assigned to co-educational groups according to their age. Instructors and counselors, many of whom are Purdue students, are supervised by professional staff trained in education, recreation and fitness.

A brochure and registration form can be downloaded and clicking on one of the "Recreational Summer Day Camp" links. For additional registration information, contact Sueann Smith at the Conference Division at (765) 494-7225, slsmith1@purdue.edu.
