Purdue flight team to participate in national competition

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – The Purdue University Flight Team will participate in the National Intercollegiate Flying Association's 2003 national SAFECON competition in May at the University of North Dakota.

An invitation to the competition was received after several team members finished in the top 10 of various flying events in a regional competition last fall. The team will compete against 30 other college flight teams from throughout the United States. The team is coached by aviation technology faculty members Dan and Patti Keen.
