Purdue Indianapolis event set for April 12 at Eiteljorg

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – Purdue University representatives will be heading to Indianapolis on April 12 as part the university's nationwide Purdue Days program.

Purdue Day in Indianapolis, an event for friends and alumni, is scheduled for 6:30-9 p.m. at the Eiteljorg Museum of American Indians and Western Art, 500 W. Washington St., and will be followed by an hors d’oeuvre reception. Among university representatives attending the event are President Martin C. Jischke, Purdue Alumni Association director Larry Preo and Murray Blackwelder, senior vice president for advancement.

Preo will provide the event's opening address, then Blackwelder will introduce the Campaign for Purdue video and discuss the university's current fund-raising activities and special events. After the video, Jischke will discuss the university's strategic plan and will answer questions from the audience. Following this discussion, entertainment will be provided.

Admission is $15 for adults and free for children 6 and under. Reservations can be made via e-mail to events@purdue.edu or by calling (800) 213-3044. More information about the Eiteljorg Museum is available online.
