PMO offers unique way to say 'I Love You'

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – For a unique way to express love or admiration on Valentine's Day, Purdue Musical Organizations will offer singing valentines.

From 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Valentine's Day (Friday, 2/14) a quartet of Purdue students from PMO will visit sweethearts' homes and businesses in the Greater Lafayette area to sing a romantic tune and deliver a carnation. Song selections include the jazz standard "L-O-V-E," "Be My Valentine," which will be sung to the tune of Billy Joel's "For the Longest Time," "You Are My Valentine," which will be sung to the tune of "You Are My Sunshine," and "When I Fall in Love."

Singing valentines cost $20 for on-campus and $25 for off-campus performances. They also can be delivered by phone for $20. To make arrangements, contact Ly Tartell, PMO assistant director, at (765) 494-2839 or visit the PMO office in the Elliott Hall of Music.

Reservations will be accepted through Wednesday (2/12).
