January 28, 2003 President Jischke to discuss international programs on next radio show WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – Purdue University President Martin C. Jischke will discuss international programs during his live call-in radio show from 2-3 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 5. Listeners will have the opportunity to ask questions during the show. Local listeners can call (765) 496-1999. Listeners outside the local calling area can call toll-free at (866) 922-2101. Dan Skinner, WBAA manager, says listeners can talk directly with the president about Purdue's international programs, including the special security issues brought on by the Sept. 11, 2001, events. "Purdue takes great pride in having more international students than any other public university in the United States," Skinner says. "With that privilege comes an obligation to offer an educational experience where students from various cultures can discuss and learn about each others' differences in an environment of mutual respect and safety." The station's AM signal reaches approximately two-thirds of Indiana and may be heard globally via the station's Web site.
