President Jischke to discuss state funding on next radio show

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – Purdue University President Martin C. Jischke will update listeners on how Purdue will approach the state Legislature on higher education funding during his live call-in radio show from 2-3 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 6.

The program, WBAA's "AM920 Magazine," is moving to Friday from its usual Wednesday broadcast. The next program will return to its normal 2-3 p.m. Wednesday time.

Listeners will have the opportunity to ask questions during the show. Local listeners can call (765) 496-1999. Listeners outside the local calling area can call toll-free at (866) 922-2101.

"State funding is critical for Purdue to implement its strategic plan and advance to the next level as a world leader in higher education and research," said WBAA manager Dan Skinner. "How Purdue communicates that message to the Legislature will be the key to ensuring that the state recognizes the role education plays in a sound economic future."

The station's AM signal reaches approximately two-thirds of Indiana and may be heard globally via the station's Web site. The site also provides toll-free dialing instructions for listeners outside the United States and Canada.
