Chicago band Local H to perform at Purdue University

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – Local H, a Chicago-based punk rock band, will perform at Purdue University at 7:30 p.m. Thursday (11/7) in the Purdue Memorial Union North Ballroom.

Tickets, which cost $12 for students and $16 for the general public, can be purchased through the Loeb box office by calling (765) 494-3933.

Two local punk rock bands, The Dog and Everything and Fertility, will serve as opening acts. The concert is sponsored by the Purdue Student Union Board.

Local H was co-founded by David Scott Lucas and a friend who met at Zion Benton Township High School. In 1994 the band was signed to Island Records, through which they have three releases, "Ham-fisted," "As Good As Dead" and "Pack up the Cats." The band, currently with Palm Pictures Records, put out its latest release, "Here Comes the Zoo," in February.
