October 17, 2002 World Trade Center survivor to speak at Purdue University WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – A New Yorker who was on the 81st floor of Tower I of the World Trade Center when an airliner exploded into flames two floors above his office will recount his tale of survival during a visit to Purdue University. Sujo John will speak at 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 28, at the Elliott Hall of Music. The event, sponsored by the Campus Crusade for Christ, for Purdue students, faculty and staff, is free and open to the public. John's wife, whose office was in Tower II, also survived. She and John now have a baby boy named Jeremy. John, who has since quit his job at Network Plus to become a full-time motivational speaker, also has written a book entitled, "Do You Know Where You Are Going?" published by Lantern Books. He plans to return to Lafayette for another speaking engagement on Jan. 26 at the First Assembly of God church.
