Purdue students to dine with basketball coaches and players

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – Purdue students will have a chance for some one-on-one with Purdue basketball coaches Gene Keady and Kristy Curry and their players Thursday (10/17) night when the teams join them for dinner in the Hillenbrand Atrium Dining Hall.

The dining hall will open at 5 p.m., and the teams will arrive at 6 p.m. The coaches will talk about the upcoming basketball season and answer student questions at 6:50 p.m. Door prizes, including autographed basketballs and clothing, also will be distributed.

Katie Hutton, Housing and Food Services marketing coordinator, says she expects a packed dining hall.

"This is an opportunity for University Residences' students and Boilermaker fans to get an inside look into the upcoming season," Hutton says. "Being part of University Residences is a great way to stay connected to exciting happenings."

The event is open to the public. Meal tickets may be purchased at the residence hall front desk for $8.62.
