July 15, 2002 Purdue School of Science awards scholarshipsWEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. The Purdue School of Science awarded scholarships to six incoming freshmen based upon their academic credentials. Four students received Distinguished Scholar awards. They will receive $3,000 a year for four years. The students include Jenni Elizabeth Bacon, an actuarial science and statistics major from Lawrenceville, Ga., Scott A. Burdick, a physics major from St. Joseph, Mo., Andrew John Lautz, a molecular biology major from Munster, Ind. and Joseph Parker Fath, a computer science major from Marion, Ind. Michael Peregrim, a biology major from Fishers, Ind. received a Lilly-Purdue scholarship, which will pay for his tuition, books, room and board for four years. David Nannery, a physics major from Greenwood, Ind., received the Purdue Department of Physics Scholarship worth $1,500.
