Purdue School of Science awards scholarships

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – The Purdue School of Science awarded scholarships to six incoming freshmen based upon their academic credentials.

Four students received Distinguished Scholar awards. They will receive $3,000 a year for four years. The students include Jenni Elizabeth Bacon, an actuarial science and statistics major from Lawrenceville, Ga., Scott A. Burdick, a physics major from St. Joseph, Mo., Andrew John Lautz, a molecular biology major from Munster, Ind. and Joseph Parker Fath, a computer science major from Marion, Ind.

Michael Peregrim, a biology major from Fishers, Ind. received a Lilly-Purdue scholarship, which will pay for his tuition, books, room and board for four years. David Nannery, a physics major from Greenwood, Ind., received the Purdue Department of Physics Scholarship worth $1,500.
