Purdue Memorial Union kicks off summer concert series

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – Three Greater Lafayette musical groups will be featured in the Purdue Memorial Union's annual Summer Concert Music Series, which begins Wednesday, July 10, on the front lawn of the union.

Attendees at each concert also can purchase a theme oriented buffet dinner for $10 per person. The concert dates, musical groups and dinner themes are:

• July 10: Lafayette Area String Quartet with French cuisine.

• July 17: Tony Zamora Jazz Ensemble with New Orleans/Cajun-Creole cuisine.

• July 24: Clayton Miller Blues Band with Memphis barbecue.

The concerts, which are free and open to the public, will run from 6:30-8 p.m. Dinner will be served starting at 6 p.m. If it rains, concerts will be moved to the PMU La Posada on the ground floor and the PMU North Ballroom.
