Purdue student receives prestigious awardWEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. A student who received a degree in landscape architecture from Purdue University has been awarded the Phi Kappa Phi Award of Excellence.Susan Dieterlen of Nappanee, Ind., will receive $1,500 from Phi Kappa Phi for graduate school expenses. Phi Kappa Phi is one of the oldest and most prominent national honor societies dedicated to the recognition of academic excellence in higher education. Dieterlen was selected for the award based upon her academic performance, and evidence of leadership and potential success in graduate study. Phi Kappa Phi also noted Dieterlen's year of study at the Edinburgh College of Art in Scotland as one of the first landscape architecture exchange students from Purdue.
