Purdue pharmacy graduate students receive awards

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – Graduate students in the Purdue School of Pharmacy were recognized for their contributions to research at an awards symposium Thursday, April 4.

Recipients of the Glenn L. Jenkins/Adelbert M. Knevel Award for Excellence in Research include Lori R. Hilden, an industrial and physical pharmacy student from Indianapolis; Marcy Hernick, a medicinal chemistry and molecular pharmacology student from Wynantskill, N.Y.; Aroonrut Lucksiri, a pharmacy practice student from Chiang Mai, Thailand and James J. Chambers, a medicinal chemistry and molecular pharmacology student from Hicksville, N.Y.

Each student received an award certificate and $300. Their names also were inscribed on a plaque that hangs in a hallway in the School of Pharmacy.
