April 9, 2002 Purdue pharmacy graduate students receive awardsWEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. Graduate students in the Purdue School of Pharmacy were recognized for their contributions to research at an awards symposium Thursday, April 4. Recipients of the Glenn L. Jenkins/Adelbert M. Knevel Award for Excellence in Research include Lori R. Hilden, an industrial and physical pharmacy student from Indianapolis; Marcy Hernick, a medicinal chemistry and molecular pharmacology student from Wynantskill, N.Y.; Aroonrut Lucksiri, a pharmacy practice student from Chiang Mai, Thailand and James J. Chambers, a medicinal chemistry and molecular pharmacology student from Hicksville, N.Y. Each student received an award certificate and $300. Their names also were inscribed on a plaque that hangs in a hallway in the School of Pharmacy.
