Projector reported stolen from Purdue classroom

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – A video projector, valued at $6,500, was reported stolen at 7:30 p.m. Sunday (4/7) from a classroom in Purdue University's Wetherill Laboratory of Chemistry.

An employee of the university's Division of Instructional Services reported the Sharp projector missing and told Purdue police it was believed to have last been seen in the classroom at approximately 5 p.m. Friday (4/5).

The projector was secured to the ceiling of Room 160 with brackets and a security cable. The thief cut the cable and power wires to steal the device, according to police reports.
