Journalists are invited to attend a Discover Purdue event on Wednesday (2/20) which marks the official opening of Purdue University's Office of Engagement for Indianapolis. The facility also will house the Marion County Extension Service office.

During the program, which begins at 2 p.m., Purdue officials will discuss plans for helping Indianapolis stay competitive in the New Economy. A partnership with an Indianapolis firm to expand Purdue's Technical Assistance Program in the Indianapolis area also will be announced.

Discover Purdue is the theme for a yearlong invitation to learn about Purdue University – its leadership and its future potential for economic development, research and education.
