Purdue Musical Organizations offers singing valentines

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. — Instead of searching in vain for that perfect Valentine's Day card, Purdue Musical Organizations offers a unique alternative — singing valentines.

From 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Valentine's Day (Thursday, 2/14) a quartet or quintet of Purdue students from PMO will visit sweethearts' homes and businesses in the Greater Lafayette area to present a red rose and sing a romantic tune. Singing valentines cost $20 and must be paid for in advance by cash or check at the PMO office in the Elliott Hall of Music during regular business hours, which are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Valentine senders can choose one of four songs. Reservations will be accepted through Tuesday (2/12). For those who cannot accept visitors, singing valentines also are available by phone.
