February 1, 2002 WBAA to focus on Black History Month in next town forum WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – Black History Month and Purdue's Black Cultural Center will be the focus of discussion when WBAA airs its sixth installment of "An American Town Forum" at 7 p.m. Tuesday (2/5). The show will be broadcast live from the Trails banquet facility, 325 Burnett Road, West Lafayette. David Bunte, WBAA program director, says this installment of "An American Town Forum" will discuss the role the Black Cultural Center plays in the lives of Purdue students. "We also will talk about why we have Black History Month, its value and how we can integrate black history into American history," he said. Guests include Renee Thomas, Black Cultural Center director, and Purdue students Temesgen Strickland and Kia Mackey.
