January 4, 2002 Orchestre de Bretagne cancels Purdue performanceWEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. The Elliott Hall performance by the Orchestre de Bretagne scheduled for Sunday, Feb. 10, has been canceled. "I've received word that the orchestra has shortened its North American tour by four dates," said Purdue Convocations director Todd Wetzel. "Unfortunately for us, these last four dates constituted the Midwestern leg of the tour so our date has been canceled." At this point in the Convocations season, Wetzel was unable to arrange for an ensemble of comparable quality that could perform on the dates that were available. Purdue Convocations has attempted to contact all ticket holders to inform them of the cancellation and instruct them on the reimbursement process. Anyone who holds tickets for the Orchestre de Bretagne performance and has not been contacted by Purdue Convocations should call the box office at (765)494-3933 or (800)914-SHOW for information.
