Trustees approve major WL, PNW facilities; other projects

Purdue University trustees today (Aug. 4) gave approvals to plan, finance, construct and award construction contracts for a new large animal/equine hospital and a renovation and addition to the Agricultural and Biological Engineering Building on the West Lafayette campus. Trustees also provided approval to finance, construct and award a construction contract for a new Bioscience Innovation Building at Purdue Northwest's Hammond campus.

Purdue trustees approve medical plans for 2018

Due to significantly increasing health care costs projected for 2018, Purdue faculty and staff will see an increase of 7 percent in medical plan premiums in 2018. However, a new incentive wellness plan focused on encouraging health awareness and engaging with a primary care provider also will be introduced in 2018, offering eligible employees the opportunity to earn additional health savings account and health reimbursement account contributions. University costs under the plans also will increase by 7 percent.

Trustees approve professorships; honor retiring chancellor, donors

The Board of Trustees today (Aug. 4) approved the appointment of six faculty to named and distinguished positions and approved resolutions of appreciation for the outgoing Fort Wayne campus chancellor and for significant donors to the university.
