Support
Getting involved with our community both near and far
is one of Purdue's fundamental values. From experiential
learning to research centers, community services, and extension
programs, Purdue reaches out to build mutually rewarding
relationships with real-life benefits for the citizens
of Indiana and of the world.
As an expression of the university's renewed commitment
to outreach, Purdue's first
vice provost for engagement was appointed in 2001. The Office of Engagement
will coordinate and expand Purdue's efforts to address
economic development and other issues affecting the state's
prosperity and quality of life.
Turning classroom lessons and laboratory research into
real-world experiences and benefits is the hallmark of
Purdue's approach to education. With your help, we can continue
to develop initiatives that support hands-on learning and
collaboration between Purdue and business and industry.
