Initiative: A senior-year capstone leadership experience which will focus on leadership, financial planning, ethics, community engagement, career development, and diversity (developed by the Student Activities & Organizations area of the Office of the Dean of Students). Cost: $45,000

Initiative: A "pilot" first-year transition program, primarily for students of color, which will include multiple leadership development components with particular emphasis on diversity and retention (developed by the Student Activities & Organizations area of the Office of the Dean of Students). Cost: $6,239

Initiative: Six late-night activities throughout the year that will be alcohol free (a collaboration of the Division of Recreational Sports, the Office of the Dean of Students, and the Student Wellness Office). Cost: $28,000

Initiative: A "De-Stress Fest" in the Purdue Memorial Union during the fall semester, which will provide opportunities for students to learn how to de-stress without engaging in high-risk alcohol use (a collaboration of the Student Wellness Office and the Division of Recreational Sports). Cost: $6,550

Initiative: A physical activity referral program for students who are engaged in substance abuse therapy (a collaboration of Counseling and Psychological Services and the Division of Recreational Sports). Cost $2,640

Initiative: The purchase of software and educational materials, which will assist staff in the intervention with students, focused on alcohol abuse reduction (for use by staff in the newly created Office of Student Rights and Responsibilities). Cost $5,000

Initiative: Collect contemporary data on a broad range of alcohol-related health issues on student behaviors, perceptions, and habits by using the American College Health Association's "National College Health Assessment" survey (a collaboration of the Student Wellness Office and the Purdue University Student Health Center). Cost: $3,200

Initiative: A comprehensive social marketing campaign, which will address alcohol, tobacco, and other drug behaviors on campus. Cost: $15,915

Project One: Develop a series of educational messages and materials that will address relevant health issues for students involved in the job recruitment process (a collaboration of the Student Wellness Office and the Center for Career Opportunities).

Project Two: Develop a campaign regarding alcohol poisoning (a collaboration of the Student Wellness Office and Communication Professor Mohan Dhutta-Bergman and his students).

Project Three: Develop a series of outreach materials that will address the risks associated with off-campus parties (a collaboration of the Student Wellness Office, the Purdue and West Lafayette Community Issues Teams, and off-campus housing units/complexes).

Initiative: Design and create an expanded "Purdue-themed" birthday card for students on their 21st birthdays, an update to the B.R.A.D. cards, which are currently sent to students on their 21st birthdays (a collaboration of the Student Wellness Office and Purdue students). Cost: $8,330
