Highly Ranked Programs

Building upon historical strengths in the ever-developing disciplines of science, engineering and technology, Purdue is home to highly ranked programs in many areas including management, engineering, chemistry, computer science, consumer and family sciences and veterinary medicine. U.S. News and Word Report ranks 18 of Purdue’s undergraduate programs and 20 of its master’s programs in the top 25 nationally.

Research

Discovery Park is home to Purdue’s interdisciplinary research programs. Here scientists work with partners in government, nonprofits and industry to create solutions to the world’s grand challenges including health care, energy, climate change and the environment.

STEM

Purdue’s expertise in science, engineering, math and technology (STEM) merges with education to create model programs to educate P-12 students and the next generation of teachers. The University is the first in the nation to create an Engineering Education Department that seeks to transform engineering education from pre-school to graduate studies. The Woodrow Wilson National Scholarship Foundation selected Purdue as one of four Indiana institutions to initiate its national overhaul of teacher education while encouraging exceptionally able candidates to seek long-term careers in high-needs classrooms.
