The class gifts
program has three major objectives:
- To increase alumni participation in private
support of the University.
- To
encourage alumni to increase their giving to the University during milestone
anniversary years.
- To fund special class-specific projects in honor
of a class’s significant
anniversary.
Annual Gifts – Gifts in support of University schools, departments,
or special units such as Purdue Musical Organizations, WBAA radio, or Convocations
count toward the class-gift totals. Gifts to the John Purdue Club in support
of Purdue Athletics also are included in those totals.
Class Project Gifts – The class-gift campaign total includes gifts to
the special project undertaken by each class to commemorate its significant
anniversary.
Planned Gifts – Alumni may provide for Purdue’s future by including
the University in their estate plans. A variety of charitable trust arrangements
can provide immediate tax advantages and an income stream for life. Purdue’s
planned giving staff is available to answer your questions.
CLASS GIFT CAMPAIGN TOTAL – Each class-gift campaign spans a 12-month
period. All gifts and pledges made by class members during the campaign period
count toward the class gift total.
