It’s hard to believe that the Classes of 1958 and 1959 are fast approaching their 50th anniversaries of graduation from Purdue. In some ways, it seems as if it was just yesterday, while on the other hand, so much has changed since we crossed that stage in Elliott Hall. Back then, the Big Bopper topped the charts with “Chantilly Lace” and Little Richard proclaimed “Good Golly Miss Molly!” At the movies “The Blob” had just opened and “Some Like it Hot” was a smash hit. Wow, does this bring back memories?
To commemorate the once-in-a-lifetime occasion of our 50th anniversary we are happy to invite you to join us in the longstanding tradition of presenting a class gift to the University.
A group of class leaders has formed a committee to develop plans for a 50th reunion gift campaign. After meetings with University Development staff, it was recommended that the classes of 1958and 1959 undertake a joint project. This approach will allow us to have the most significant and lasting impact at our University.
Thank you for joining us!
Fred Ford, Class of 1958 Committe Chair
Ben Miller, Class of
1959 Committee Chair
