my enhanced phone capabilities... being able to cold-call a prospect and ask for a gift/donation without hesitation during a first appeal. My experiences as a student caller educated me on the framework of philanthropy and gave me the additional confidence needed to aggressively seek a career in fundraising. My time at the Telefund was simply and utterly priceless.
