Student Loan Programs
The Student Loans area of the University Collections Office is responsible for the administration of the Federal Perkins, Health Profession and Purdue University Institutional loan programs. These loan programs are managed in accordance with Federal, State and University regulations.
The Student Loans department provides loan counseling functions to ensure borrowers receive entitlements contained in various loan programs, in compliance with University & federal policies governing such programs. We provide assistance to loan borrowers regarding regulations and policies for the loan programs, repayment, loan program entitlements and credit issues. This area also oversees the collection functions for student loans by evaluating and implementing various strategies for collection of loans to maximize return of funds to loan programs by working with the Loan Servicer, Collection Agencies, and the Department of Education.
