Lost and Found

The University processes all lost and found items on campus through the Central Lost and Found facility, located at University Surplus (700 Ahlers Drive).

Any items found should be turned in to the main office of the building where the item was found. Any items found outside of a building may be turned in to Central Lost and Found, the Purdue Police Department, or a building near where the item was found. Items found in buildings are held for one to two weeks and then transferred to Central Lost and Found. Items that remain unclaimed after two months may be claimed by the finder during the third month. The finder may claim the item by presenting the finder's receipt issued when the item was turned in.

If you are searching for a lost item, first check the department/building where the item was lost.

To report a lost item, fill out a card at Central Lost and Found or call 765-494-2125. Office hours are Monday through Friday, 12-4 p.m.
