HIV Testing

What's the difference between anonymous and confidential testing?

  • Anonymous testing: Your name is not recorded and only you will be notified of your test results.
  • Confidential testing: Your name and your results are recorded in your medical file, but no one can give them out without your permission, except as required by State law.

Where can I be tested for HIV on campus?

The Student Wellness Office coordinates free, anonymous or confidential testing on specific dates scheduled during the fall and spring semesters. Funding for these rapid, oral specimen tests is provided by the Indiana State Department of Health and is made available in collaboration with Planned Parenthood of Indiana.

The PUSH medical clinic offers confidential testing during normal PUSH business hours. To request a confidential HIV test, via blood draw, you must first schedule an appointment with a healthcare provider. A fee will be charged for the lab work.

  • To schedule a confidential test, call the PUSH appointment desk at (765) 494-6504.

Where can I be tested for HIV in the community ?

Anonymous and confidential testing are available at Planned Parenthood.

  • To schedule an appointment, call (765) 446-8078.
