Indiana Campus Sexual Assault Primary Prevention Project
The goal of the Indiana Campus Sexual Assault Primary Prevention (INCSAPP) Project is to increase the capacity of Indiana colleges and universities to prevent initial occurrence of sexual violence through training and technical assistance, campus coalition-building, and mini-grants. Special emphasis will be given to social marketing campaigns, bystander intervention, male involvement, data collection, and policy analysis. INCSAPP, established in July 1997, is funded by the Indiana State Department of Health, CDC Rape Prevention Education grant. Project Director: Nancy Maylath, Project Coordinators: Katherine Beavis and Emily Haas.
Drug-Free Coalition of Tippecanoe County Social Marketing Campaign Projects
The Student Wellness Office worked with the Drug-Free Coalition of Tippecanoe County to implement social marketing campaigns on Adderall, Marijuana, and Purchasing Alcohol for Minors. Campaigns can be seen on campus and in the community during the fall and spring semesters. The Student Wellness Office uses a variety of mediums to reach Purdue students: posters, CityBus advertisements, and Boiler Television (BTV). A new campaign on Prescription Stimulant Use is currently being developed for Spring 2012. Purdue students have been involved in every aspect of developing the campaigns through focus groups, message development and testing, and design. Project Coordinators: Tammy Loew and Stephanie Orstad.
