Temporary Volunteer
Typically involves 1-2 hours of volunteering without ongoing commitment.
Activities may include:
- Participation in focus groups
- Polling fellow students about college health issues
- Staffing a table at an event
- Other tasks, as needed

Volunteer Program Assistant - Not accepting any further applications until Fall 2013
Typically involves recurring commitment (e.g. 1-2 hours /week or as needed by area coordinator/current assignment)
Activities may be similar to those of the temporary volunteer but also may include:
- Campaign development and promotion (e.g. The Great American Smokeout; AIDS Awareness Month; Eating Disorders Awareness Month)
- Event planning and coordination
- Survey development
- Health message development (for bulletin board kits, flyers, ads, website)
- Other tasks, as needed

Graduate Assistant
Graduate Assistants participate in planning, promoting, implementing, and evaluating a variety of health-related programs for Purdue students.
Desirable experience and skills:
- Academic training and/or professional experience in health promotion/education or closely related field
- Program planning
- Marketing/public relations
- Presentation/public speaking
- Needs assessment/evaluation
- Collaboration/networking
Financial assistance includes a monthly stipend, partial fee remission, and some health benefits.
