VOICE
Veterinary Students as One in Culture and Ethnicity (VOICE) was founded to increase veterinary students’ knowledge of and sensitivity to socio-cultural issues in veterinary medicine. On October 30th the club held an internationally-themed carry-in dinner co-sponsored with the International Veterinary Student Association (IVSA). The event, named "The Melting Pot", included an opportunity to learn Latin dance steps from members of the Purdue Latin and Ballroom Dance Club. Photos from this event are below.
Approximately one half of the U.S. Schools and Colleges of veterinary medicine have VOICE student chapters. The Purdue VOICE chapter plans to sponsor programs and activities that encourage increased interaction and conversation across difference.
