Virtual Veterinary Visit Program
Purdue School of Veterinary Medicine Alumni and Indiana veterinarians, we invite you to join us in showcasing all of your wonderful and diverse careers in veterinary medicine. Many students are not able to get veterinary experience through practice visits or by working directly with veterinarians and veterinary technicians in other settings (i.e. private industry, research, government, military, public health, diagnostic laboratories, etc).
You can contribute by videotaping a typical day (or part of a day) at your workplace and sending us the raw video. We will edit the video to one hour or less and put it on the Virtual Veterinary Visit page of this website (with your permission of course). Please highlight your career choice in veterinary medicine, the animals or specimens with which you work, daily activities, and skill sets that you recommend for success. Additional information such as how you became a veterinarian, how Purdue School of Veterinary Medicine has helped you in your career, and how much you enjoy your work day are most welcome.
Raw videos should be mailed to: Dr. Sandy Amass, Associate Dean for Engagement, Purdue University School of Veterinary Medicine, 625 Harrison Street, West Lafayette, Indiana, 47907-2026. Please include the following information with your video: Your name, title, place of employment, mailing address, category of employment, contact information, and a statement that the final video can be delivered to the public through this website. For more information, please contact: svmengaged@purdue.edu
