Sophomore 2011 Cohort
Requirements
These requirements only apply to students who entered Purdue Promise in 2011. Please download the appropriate agreement to see the full list of requirements based on your scholarship. This list is not exhaustive.

Strive for academic excellence. This includes attending all of my classes, studying regularly, and remaining in contact with my academic advisors, college mentors, and course instructors. [For specific GPA requirements, download the appropriate agreement below]

Make every effort to take 15-18 credit hours per semester.

Uphold all aspects of my 21st Century Scholars (TFCS) Pledge (not EULs), including submitting the FAFSA on time.

Contact Student Success at Purdue if I am struggling with any of my classes. If my semester or cumulative GPA drops below [required GPA based on scholarship requirement] or I am on academic probation/not in good academic standing, I agree to participate in an academic review (MAPS) with Purdue Promise. I will maintain regular contact with Purdue Promise staff and attend study tables and/or tutoring as directed.

Enroll in and satisfactorily complete the Purdue Promise sophomore college success course, GS 200 (for one credit) either in the fall or spring. (Note: There will be junior intensive and senior year one-credit course that I must successfully complete during those subsequent years as well.)

Work with the Student Employment Office to secure an on-campus job if I am offered Federal Work Study funds and am seeking employment.

Attend the Purdue Promise Sophomore Welcome Back Event and the End-of-the-Year Celebration.

Seek leadership/extracurricular opportunities either within Student Success at Purdue or elsewhere within the university (e.g. service leadership, undergraduate research, study abroad, etc.). I will notify Purdue Promise staff of all participation in leadership experiences.

Authorize Purdue University to release my name, major, high school, hometown, and scholarship amount to the donor(s) of my scholarship and to confirm that all criteria for selection were met.

Agree to participate in events associated with any scholarship, award, or prize I may receive.

Read all electronic messages/updates sent by the Purdue Promise staff to my Purdue email account.

Immediately update Purdue Promise of any changes in my contact information.

Discuss any concerns I may have in regard to academics, work, personal life issues that may negatively affect my academic performance, etc. with a member of the Purdue Promise staff.
